Ralt drivers to race for new championship
The Motorsport Association announced a new championship for Ralt drivers in the 1992 Peter Jackson (Formula Atlantic) series to be contested for the Bruce McLaren Memorial Trophy, a sterling silver model of a Can-Am McLaren donated by McLaren's father. It creates a second tier for older Ralt RT4s against Swifts and Reynards, with points also counting toward the Gold Star series. Paul Larsen says Ralt racing still doesn't appeal as it means not winning races.
