Variety will please spectators
Organisers of the 1980 Wigram meeting promised a variety of motor sport, costing about $30,000 to promote, with Formula Pacific, Formula Ford, saloons, Osca, Escortsport, classic cars, drag cars and motorcycles plus a flying display by aerobatic ace Pam Locke. George Begg said last year's crowd was 6000 paying spectators and the meeting would only just get by with fewer.
