Tom Sulman will be the only Australian at the Wigram races on 23 February 1952 after a crash at Parramatta where he hit four concrete posts and damaged four wheels of his 1.5 litre car; he planned to complete repairs while crossing the Tasman, leaving by ship on 11 February.

THE running of the Lady Wigram Trophy race in two
twenty-five-mile heats and a fifty-mile final will be an
innovation at the Motor Racing Club's meeting at the
Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram, on Saturday,
February 23.
In previous years this event has been run as a single 100
mile race. Employing the new system the club hopes that
there will be greater interest for spectators. It should also
result in considerably faster lap speeds.
