Claim after crash at car race fails
A civil claim in the Magistrate's Court over a crash at the Lady Wigram Trophy two years earlier failed. Alison Isobel Dorn claimed 253 pounds 18 shillings from the Motor Racing Club after her car, in which she sat as a timekeeper, was hit by a Ferrari driven by Frank Shuter that spun off the back straight in wet conditions. Mr A. P. Blair, S.M., non-suited her, ruling that the club had not failed in its duty of care.
