17-1-61 Jack Brabnam, the dug tralian, regarded as the deserved race champlon in recent seasons. His career, while not as speo tacular, or as flamboyant as that of Moss, has been spectaculariy successful. Flagging Cars Off the LIHOUGH It is not: remote A likely there is a possibility that only the winner of the Lady Wigram Trophy will cover the full 150 miles on Saturday. The reason is that once the leading car has compieted the distance those following it are immediately fagged off. Those on the same lap as the winner will, of course; complete the whole I distance, but those that Course are not will be placed on the number of laps completed as soon as the winner has crossed the line. Overseas it is not uncommon to see a driver whose car has suffered a mechanical breakdown wait with it by the finishing line and push it across the line immediately the winner has been flagged. In this way a driver can be credited as a finisher and thus eligible for any minor prize money. This has happened in New Zealand on occasions.
